After the past year, most of us are excited about getting back to public events.  That is why there was a cautious amount of rejoicing when Governor Dewine announced last week that fairs, festivals, promos, and graduations could be back this year.  We are excited too!  We can’t wait to get back to live music, in-person events, and fun with family and friends.

What Events Are Coming Up in Coshocton County?

And since we went nearly an entire year without being able to attend signature events, you know we want to celebrate their return.  While we know there will be more coming soon, here are a few upcoming events that you can plan for in Coshocton County.

UKC Beagle National Championship. (April 10-11)

This event really has become a staple in Coshocton County and we are excited to have it back.  The UKC Hunting Beagle National Championship brings together the outstanding Hunting Beagles and handlers from the United States and Canada to participate in the Hunting Beagle Program’s largest Hunt and Bench Show. This prestigious multi-day event is directly sponsored by United Kennel Club.  Learn more here.

Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival. (June 10-12)

For over 40 years, residents of Coshocton County have been blessed to be able to look up to the sky in June and see the magnificent Hot Air Balloons from this festival.  This event, put on by community volunteers is one we can’t wait to have back.   Kiddie rides, food vendors, entertainment, craft booths, children’s activities, fireworks, night glow, and hot air balloon launches (weather permitting) are all part of this FREE event thanks to our generous sponsors and “friends”.

Visit for the weekend’s itinerary and Hot Air Balloon Festival Facebook Page for current announcements!

Indian Mud Run. (June 26)

It’s time to get out and get muddy.  One of the most challenging and exciting adventure races you will find is here in Coshocton County.  The 2021 Indian Mud Run will have two distances with a 10K competitive course with 72 obstacles, and the non-competitive 5K course that will bypass the extreme obstacles but still give racers an awesome course. Coshocton Sunflower Festival. (August)

This has very quickly become one of the signature events in Coshocton County.  You really have to see it to believe it.  Experience the Joy of Living Sunshine! Coshocton Sunflower Festival features over 3 acres and 30 varieties of sunflowers from 2 ft tall fuzzy teddy bears to 12 ft tall skyscrapers.
