Sometimes the best way to be reminded of all of the good things going on in the community is simply to attend a meeting with great people! We attended the Roscoe Village Business Association meeting this week and were reminded (and educated) about some great things in Coshocton County. So let’s dig in!
Top 5 Good Things In Coshocton County…This Week
LeRetilley Event Center
This beautiful new event center is such a great addition to the community. LeRetilley Event Center is the perfect mid-eastern Ohio venue that combines rich history with beautiful modern- rustic charm. Just steps away is Historic Roscoe Village, a restored 1800s canal town complete with charming shops, beautiful gardens, fine dining, live music, living history tours, and exhibits. Learn more about this great-looking facility here.
Johnson Humrickhouse Museum
We recently had visitors from Texas and they had one request. “We MUST see the press that printed the bag that started the Promotional Products industry!” That press (and a copy of the bag) is at the Johnson Humrickhouse Museum in Roscoe Village. This museum features a stunning collection of Asian art and artifacts, as well as exhibits on local history and culture. Kids will be fascinated by the intricate carvings and colorful textiles, while adults will appreciate the museum’s educational and informative displays. If you are a lover of history, the Johnson Humrickhouse Museum is a must-visit.
The New Visitor’s Guides Are Here
Every year, The Coshocton County CVB works incredibly hard to create our Visitor Guides. These amazing printed magazines are distributed all over the region to promote tourism in Coshocton County. They showcase our attractions, restaurants, events, and yes, places to stay! Shout out to the hard work being done by so many behind the scenes to make Coshocton County go!
Comedy Club At The Warehouse Steak n’ Stein
Each year the Warehouse Steak n’ Stein hosts Comedy events…and they are not to be missed. What a great way to break up the cooler weather…and there is still time to check them out this year. March 23rd is mostly sold out but there are still two events in April. Call (740) 622-4001 or stop in to secure your tickets! Doors will open at 6:15 pm and the Comedians will begin at 8:15 pm.
Colton Conkle Scores 1000
This is different from the others, but certainly worth a shout-out! Local basketball star Colton Conkle passed the 1000-point mark recently for Coshocton High School. Conkle, who was only a junior, also led the team in steals and assists. Check out this video from Storied Rivals from the night it happened.
As usual, this is not a comprehensive list, but it’s our Top 5 Good Things Happening in Coshocton County…this week. If you have other events or cool things happening, please post those in the comments. Our goal is to keep this positive momentum rolling around the community.
