Top 5 Good Things In Coshocton County…This Week

The weather is starting to warm up in Coshocton County.  That means people are spending more time outside, we have the opportunity to stop and smell the roses (or flowers of any kind), and events are coming soon.  So let’s dive right in!

Another Big Grant for Coshocton County

We have talked about this before (here), Coshocton County has been blessed over the past few years when it comes to grant dollars.  Local leaders have been hard at work to secure funding to improve the community.  Well, they have done it again!  Look for improvements at the Skip’s Landing Area as the community received $6.7 Million that will be used on lighting, multi-use paths, expanded parking, relocation of the boat ramp, a nature walk, green space, a permanent structure for the Farmer’s Market, and a play area.

Wooly Pig Wins Small Business Award

Cheers to Wooly Pig!  The Wooly Pig Farm Brewery was recognized as the Eastern Ohio Development Alliance’s Small Business of the Year.  The brewery, which brings thousands of guests to the Coshocton County area, was recognized for its “time and investment into building up the brewery and farm into something Coshocton County can be proud to call its own.”  Congrats to Wooly Pig.  It seems like a great reason to raise a pint!

Clue Pub Crawl

Who is ready for a new Pub Crawl?  Great news…we have one coming up on June 8th!  It’s time to put on your detective caps and join us for a Clue Pub Crawl Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, June 8, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM. Stop by any or all of this year’s 12 stops across Roscoe Village and Historic Downtown Coshocton in our Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.  Learn more here!  

Summer Block Party In Roscoe

“Summer, Summer, Summertime!”  With apologies to Will Smith, it’s time for a Summer Block Party in Roscoe Village.  There will be live music, kids activities, a hot dog eating contest, a pong tournament…and much more!  The event is coming soon!  Mark your calendar for June 15th from 11 am to 9 pm.  It’s going to be fun at Roscoe Village.  So put on your sunscreen and head out!

First Summer Concert

And finally, speaking of summer, the very first Summer Concert Series is coming us soon as well.  In what has become an amazing tradition, the first Concert on the Courtsquare will feature Invincible (the Pat Benatar tribute band).  These concerts have featured some amazing music and a wonderful community vibe.  Please join the fun!
