Well, yes.  There have been some big changes here at ChooseCoshocton.com.

As you may know, our goal is to provide you with cool things happening in the Coshocton County area.  We highlight positive changes in the community, cool events in Coshocton County, and plenty of ideas on how you can spend some time visiting our area.  We feature places to eat, some of the best attractions, and we even create blogs about what your itinerary might look like when you come for a long weekend.  And of course, we feature some great places to stay when you make the trip.

And that is expanding.

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, Hasseman Properties purchased the Roscoe Motor Inn.  The Roscoe Motor Inn is a 15-room two-story motel located at the edge of Historic Roscoe Village in Coshocton, Ohio and work has already begun to update the facility.  While we will still answer to “The Roscoe Motor Inn,” we will be updating more than the paint!  The new name will be “The Roscoe” and you will start to see that on signage and communications from the facility.  We wanted to update the name while still giving tribute to its history…and its tie to Roscoe Village.

The Renaissance Continues

This all started for us with the building that we call The Renaissance On Main in downtown Coshocton.  This amazing property was originally built in the early 1900s as a hotel and was converted to apartments in the late 1950s or ’60s.  We took the project over several years ago and worked hard to restore it to its former glory.  (Check out the whole story here).  Now the property has studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments, and hosts guests from all over the country.

With all of these changes (and some lofty goals), we felt it was time to make some changes to our website.  The site has the same look, but we have streamlined the booking process.  You can now book directly through our site!  While you can still find the Renaissance (and a few other properties) on Airbnb, we felt like this upgrade would enhance communication with our guests.  So please feel free to click on the Places To Stay tab on our site and check it out!  And of course, if you need a room, we would love to host you.

The changes are hardly finished, and there is plenty of work still to be done.  But we wanted to send you this update and continue to help us spread the word.  We love it when people Choose Coshocton.
